New for 2021, the sixth LIVE webinar, Municipal Elections – Roles and Responsibilities, covers the following:

- What does the public need to know?
- Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) and Advance votes if a resolution was passed
- Amendments passed in July 2020 under Bill 29 (LAEA) and when do these changes take place?
What do municipalities, school board, prospective candidates and public need to know regarding the elections process and amendments to LAEA? The next municipal election will be held on October 18, 2021. This webinar will assist returning officers and other election officials in municipalities across Alberta with their election processes and procedures. This webinar may also be accessed by members of the public and potential candidates who are seeking to better understand the election process.
